Sidewalk work continues this week at the intersections of Harrison Street, Liberty Street, Fulton Street, and Main Street along SW Adams Street. Pedestrians should continue to use caution near these closures and cross the street at the next available intersection.

Drivers should be aware of a new lane restriction on Main Street. The southbound right lane of Main Street at Adams Street is closed for the sidewalk removal work at this intersection.

In the upcoming days, pothole identification and repairs will be addressed on SW Adams Street in the OWTW Conversion Project area. Requests for City-wide pothole filling can be made through Peoria Cares at 309-494-2273 or by contacting Public Works at 309-494-8800.

Lane and parking restrictions are still in place along SW Adams Street. On-street parking restrictions are clearly marked. If parking meters are bagged with “No Parking” signs, drivers should not park at those spots. Additional parking, lane, and sidewalk restrictions will be implemented as the OWTW Conversion Project progresses.

Drivers are reminded to be cautious of workers in the area and to adhere to the designated no parking zones. Extra care and attention should be exercised in the vicinity.
