The intersection of E Nebraska Avenue and N Wisconsin Avenue in an upcoming closure for the Wisconsin Avenue Reconstruction Project. The closure, set to begin on Monday, May 6, is expected to last for three weeks, weather permitting.
"Beginning at 7 am on Monday, May 6, the intersection of E Nebraska Avenue and N Wisconsin Avenue will close to all traffic," stated the announcement.
Drivers are advised to adhere to all marked detours during this period. Specifically, eastbound and westbound traffic on E Nebraska Avenue are directed to utilize E Behrends Avenue from N Indiana Avenue or N Delaware Street. Additionally, northbound traffic on N Wisconsin Avenue is urged to use E Behrends Avenue as an alternate route.
"Drivers should exercise caution in the area and be mindful of this closure, as well as the other closures on N Wisconsin Avenue," emphasized the authorities. They further added, "The use of alternative routes, when possible, is advised."
