City of Marquette Heights City Council met April 8.

CALL TO ORDER

The City Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M by Mayor Hamm.

ROLL CALL

Aldermen present for Roll Call: Alderman Babb, Amundson, Neuhaus and Neumann, Joos and Greiner.

Also present were Clerk Steele, Attorney Herman, Treasurer Worent, Police Chief Merritt, Street/Water Superintendent Smith, Deputy Clerk/Office Mgr. Minson, Fire Chief Hermacinski, and Building Inspector Dearborn

CONSENT AGENDA

APPROVAL OF THE FOLLOWING CONSENT ITEMS BY VOTE:

(All matters listed under CONSENT AGENDA will be enacted by one motion and one roll call vote.

There will not be separate discussion on these items. If discussion is desired by any Member of the

City Council, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and discussed immediately after approval of the Consent Agenda.)

1. Approve March 25, 2024, Regular Council Meeting Minutes.

2. Approve March 25, 2024, Executive Council Meeting Minutes.

3. Approve April 1, 2024, Committee Meeting Minutes.

4. Approve April 1, 2024, Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

5. Approve the bi-monthly expenditures of $120,626.74.

6. Approve Resolution of Creve Coeur proposed annual budget and sewer use fee charges for FY 2025.

7. Approve the resolution directing the Planning Committee to oversee the negotiations of lease agreements involving the City.

8. Approve the move of employee Tim Fogle from the Water Department to the City Clerk’s office.

9. Authorize Deputy Treasurer Reynolds as an IMRF Agent.

Alderman Neumann made a motion, seconded by Alderman Greiner Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Alderman Amundson, Neuhaus, Neumann, Greiner, Joos and Babb. Nays - None. Motion passed.

APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA:

Alderman Greiner made a motion, seconded by Alderman Amundson Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Alderman Amundson, Neuhaus, Neumann, Greiner, Joos and Babb. Nays - None. Motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Approve the resignation / retirement of Deputy Clerk Minson, effective April 30, 2024

Alderman Babb Seconded by Alderman Greiner. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Alderman Joos, Amundson, Babb, Neuhaus, Babb, Greiner and Neumann. Nays: none Motion passed.

2. Approve the resignation of Heather Greiner as the Parks and Building Chairman.

Alderman Greiner Seconded by Alderman Babb. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Alderman Joos, Amundson, Babb, Neuhaus, Babb, Greiner and Neumann. Nays: none Motion passed.

3. Approve the severance package for Deputy Clerk Minson.

Alderman Greiner Seconded by Alderman Neuhaus. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Alderman Joos, Amundson, Babb, Neuhaus, Babb, Greiner and Neumann. Nays: none Motion passed.

4. Approve the new salary and responsibilities of Deputy Treasurers Reynolds (TABLED)

Alderman Greiner Seconded by Alderman Babb. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Alderman Joos, Amundson, Babb, Neuhaus, Babb, Greiner and Neumann. Nays: none Motion passed.

Council exited regular session and entered executive session at: 7:23 p.m.

Council resumed regular session at: 8:19 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

Alderman Greiner made a motion, seconded by Alderman Babb to adjourn the regular City Council Meeting at 10:08 p.m. Roll Call Vote: All Ayes. Motion passed.
