The ongoing median removal work between SW Jefferson Avenue and N William Kumpf Boulevard is set to continue this week. The right turn lane on SW Jefferson Avenue onto N William Kumpf Boulevard will remain closed for an additional week, depending on weather conditions.

Southwest-bound traffic on Jefferson Avenue is advised to continue using N MacArthur Highway as the detour route.

In addition, Liberty Street remains closed to through traffic at SW Adams Street. This closure is also expected to last for another week, weather permitting. Motorists are encouraged to access the parking lots along Liberty Street between SW Adams Street and SW Washington Street from SW Washington Street.

Meanwhile, sidewalk work continues at the intersections of Harrison Street and Liberty Street along SW Adams Street. Sidewalk removal has commenced at the intersection of NE Adams Street and Main Street. As a result, sidewalks near 100 NE Adams Street are currently closed.

Pedestrians should note that sidewalks near 332 and 300 SW Adams Street also remain closed. They are urged to exercise caution near these closures and cross the street at the next available intersection.

Lane and parking restrictions are still in effect along SW Adams Street. On-street parking restrictions have been clearly marked. Drivers are advised to look for unbagged, available parking meters for on-street parking. If parking meters are bagged with “No Parking” signs, drivers should avoid parking in those spots.

As the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way (OWTW) Conversion Project progresses, more updates regarding parking, lane, and sidewalk restrictions will be announced in due course.
