With John Deere announcing massive layoffs and moving out of the country, it is another stark reminder that Illinois must become more business-friendly to stay competitive and grow opportunities for residents. "We can’t afford to drive more job creators away," said Rep. Weaver.

John Deere recently announced mass layoffs in Illinois and Iowa as the company plans to move operations to Mexico.
