Beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, Public Works crews will start 12-hour shifts to clear the remaining storm debris from all parts of the city.

Residents are encouraged to bundle any storm debris with a nonmetallic cord in lengths no longer than five feet and weighing no more than 50 pounds. These bundles should be set out at the curb on their normal GFL collection day.

Any large storm debris that cannot be bundled into smaller sizes but can still be placed next to the curb will be picked up by Public Works crews.

To report a large debris curb location, residents should contact Public Works by phone at 309-494-8800 or by email at publicworks@peoriagov.org. Additionally, they can use Peoria Cares Service Requests by phone at 309-494-2273, through the Peoria Cares app, or via the Peoria Cares website.

Public Works will not enter private property; property owners are responsible for placing any large debris at the curbside.

For more information regarding cleanup efforts, contact Public Works at 309-494-8800.
