Victor Farris, 45, was indicted today on charges of Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking, Kidnapping, and Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle for an incident last week in which he allegedly stole a vehicle with a young child inside.
Last Wednesday, the Peoria Police Department responded to the 2000 block of W. Pioneer Parkway Street following a report of a stolen vehicle with a 3-year-old child inside. The child was located shortly afterward unharmed at a gas station in Bartonville. Authorities have not yet located Farris, and a warrant for his arrest has been issued alongside the indictments.

“This defendant recklessly endangered a small child, injured another person, and put fear into a community. Because he is still on the run, I wanted to quickly get indictment warrants to ensure he stays in custody when police find him,” said Jodi Hoos, State’s Attorney.
