The Waukegan Fire Department will host an open house and celebrate its 175th anniversary on Saturday, October 12. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Waukegan Station #5, located at 3221 N. Green Bay Rd.
The open house will feature vehicle and equipment displays, fire extinguisher training demonstrations, vehicle extrication demonstrations, and fire sprinkler demonstrations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet firefighters and paramedics.
