FOIA Request to City of Peoria Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024.
In our ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at the Peoria Standard have submitted a request for records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140).
The requested records pertain specifically to all currently unpaid parking violations within the city. The details sought include the name of the offender, their address, the amount due, violation date, and total due.
As a media organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to such public records is essential for us. It enables us to fulfill our professional responsibilities effectively.
