Village of Swansea Board of Trustees met Nov. 4.

Board President Leopold thanked Bob Trentman for dropping off pumpkins. The Village Administrator said there will be a grand opening at Abcor Home Health by Golden Oak.

Trustee Lewis did not like it when the minutes say he asks for the record to reflect. Trustee McDonald said Trustee Lewis should give the corrections he wants to the Clerk.

He was not present.
IX) Village Attorney/Village Administrator-Announcements/Comments
The Village Administrator said the Triple Lakes discussions are continuing. He is working on 425 Timber Ridge. He is working with businesses on 159 about construction agreements. He is going to meet with an appraiser about properties on Gilbert. He will sit down with the applicants for Jennings Station. Trustee McDonald asked about a law suit. The Village Administrator said they are still waiting and it might take until the end of the year. Trustee McDonald asked about the County helping with a building. The Village Administrator said they have not heard back. Board President Leopold said they were willing to help but he is not sure what the problem is and he will check into it.
X) Public Comment
A member of the public said him and his wife moved to Swansea to 14 Lindenwood Dr and he has notes about the sewer drain by his house. He said Trustee Lewis, Greg Anderson, and the Director of Public Works have been out there. He said water doesn't run down the street and instead goes down the curbs. He said water stays in the road too and a ditch is washing out. He said it isn't their storm water and they cut the curb when they put their new driveway in. They said they had FEMA come out because they had water in their basement and they saw someone surveying. Trustee McDonald asked if there was an easement on their property. The Building and Zoning Director said he hasn't looked at easements but he went out there and took pictures. Trustee McDonald said if there isn't an easement the Village can't go on their private property. He said they need to check for an easement. Board President Leopold asked for updates in the future. The Building and Zoning Director said he will look into easements too and he has the member of the public's number. The member of the public said he used to live on Country Club Lane and they signed over the street to the township. Their neighbor had the same problem and the township fixed their problem. Board President Leopold thanked them for bringing it to the Village's attention.

XII) Old Business
Chief Blomberg said he and others looked into the reports about parking issues on some streets. He said their consensus is not to put up no parking signs in those areas. He said every neighborhood has similar issues. He said he met with the Finance manager about the K9 restricted funds and met with everyone who donated over $100. They all agreed to move the funds to the Youth Academy fund.
XIII) New Business
Trustee McDonald asked if they met with Bristol Hills about the water issues. The Village Administrator let them know that TWM is looking into it. Trustee McDonald said there is nothing the Village can do about it unless it wants to pay for it. Board President Leopold said they met with the HOA. Trustee McDonald asked about the police vehicle mileage. The Village Administrator said he asked for when they are selling. Trustee McDonald said he asked a while ago. The Village Administrator asked if he wants the full list right now. Trustee McDonald said he wants it when they are selling. The Village Administrator said they will provide it. Trustee Lanter said they have gotten rid of police cars that had 60,000 miles that were complete junk so it is not just mileage. Trustee Parker said the cars are run hard.
