The Peoria County Courthouse and several other county offices, including the Peoria City/County Health Department, Peoria County Animal Protection Services, Veterans Assistance Commission, Election Commission, and Highway Department Offices, will not be open on December 24-25, 2024, and January 1, 2025.
Animal control officers can still be contacted through their after-hours number: (309) 674-3131.
Meanwhile, the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, Jail, and Juvenile Detention Center will continue operations. However, records and visitation services will not be available on December 24-25, 2024 and January 1, 2025. Despite this closure for in-person visits, remote visitation for inmates remains an option. The bonding lobby will maintain its usual operating hours.
