Downtown Peoria roads closed for St Patrick's Day Parade on March 17

Road closures are scheduled for Monday, March 17, in Downtown Peoria to accommodate the St. Patrick’s Day Parade organized by the St. Patrick Society of Peoria. The parade is set to begin at 11 a.m., and several streets will be inaccessible from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Parking restrictions will be enforced along the parade route and staging areas. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and patience while navigating alternative routes and marked detours.

The parade will commence at Hancock Street and N.E. Monroe Street, proceeding southwest on N.E. Monroe Street to Main Street, then southeast on Main Street to N.E. Adams Street, before concluding at Hamilton Boulevard.

Starting at 8 a.m., road closures include Hancock Street from N.E. Jefferson Avenue to N.E. Perry Avenue; N.E. Madison Avenue from Bryan Street to Wayne Street; N.E. Monroe Street from Bryan Street to Wayne Street; and Bryan Street from N.E. Perry Avenue to N.E. Jefferson Avenue.

At 10:45 a.m., additional closures will affect N.E. Monroe Street from Wayne Street to Fulton Street; Spalding Avenue with limited intermittent access at N.E. Monroe Street; Fayette Street at N.E. Perry Avenue; Hamilton Boulevard from N.E. Perry Avenue to N.E. Washington Street; Main Street from N.E. Perry Avenue to N.E. Washington Street; as well as sections of N.E. Madison Avenue, N.E Jefferson Avenue, and others along the route.

Detour routes have been established for through traffic on S.W Adams Streets and other affected roads, directing vehicles around the parade area.
