Congressional Soccer Caucus Co-Chairs have expressed their support for the establishment of a White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026. Congressman Darin LaHood, along with Representatives Rick Larson, Kathy Castor, and Don Bacon, issued a joint statement welcoming President Trump's initiative.

"As bipartisan co-chairs of the Congressional Soccer Caucus, we welcome President Trump’s creation of a World Cup Task Force," said Reps. LaHood, Larson, Castor, and Bacon.

The task force aims to facilitate coordination for co-hosting the event with Canada and Mexico. The representatives emphasized that this collaboration presents an opportunity to highlight North America on a global stage and promote soccer within the United States.

"An event of this size requires coordination across the federal government and with state, local, tribal, and international partners, particularly the co-host nations. We look forward to working together with the White House Task Force to ensure the FIFA 2026 Men’s World Cup is a success."
