Congressman Darin LaHood welcomed U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler to Peoria, Illinois, as part of her Manufacturing in America Road Tour. During the visit, a roundtable was held at the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center where challenges and opportunities for manufacturing leaders in Illinois were discussed.
Loeffler and LaHood also toured Rheo Manufacturing to learn about current projects and discuss the significance of reducing regulatory hurdles for American manufacturers. Congressman LaHood expressed his enthusiasm about Loeffler's visit, stating, “We were thrilled to have Administrator Loeffler in Peoria to highlight manufacturing and what the Trump administration is doing to support small businesses.” He added that small businesses are vital to the economy and significant employers nationwide.
Loeffler’s visit is part of an initiative by the SBA to boost manufacturing jobs under the "Made in America" campaign. As a Central Illinois native and graduate of Olympia High School, her presence emphasized local ties.
