Downtown road closures and parking restrictions will take place on Thursday, April 24, due to Skills Fest, an event sponsored by Skills USA Illinois. The restrictions will start at noon and last until 8 p.m.
S.W. Madison Avenue will be closed to traffic between Fulton Street and Main Street. Additionally, Fulton Street will not allow through traffic from S.W. Monroe Street to S.W. Jefferson Avenue.
Parking restrictions will also affect Madison Avenue from Fulton Street to Main Street and Fulton Street from S.W. Monroe Street to S.W. Jefferson Avenue. Drivers are encouraged to plan for alternative routes and exercise caution in the area.
