S.W. Water Street is scheduled to be closed to through traffic from Liberty Street to Main Street on Sunday, April 27. The closure will last from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. due to the BUILT Cruise-In event, which is sponsored by the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
Despite the closure, access to the Peoria Riverfront Museum Parking Deck will remain open. Drivers are advised to be aware of the closure and to proceed with caution in the area.
Traffic that usually travels through S.W. Water Street should use S.W. Washington Street as a detour route.
