Closures and parking restrictions will be implemented along S.W. Water Street from Harrison Street to Main Street on Saturday, May 3, due to the OSF Nun Run for Cancer event, organized by OSF Foundations. These restrictions will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution and seek alternative routes during this time. As the run commences, S.W. Water Street will be closed from Harrison Street to Main Street until participants reach the Main Street Intersection and proceed onto the RiverFront Trail. No on-street parking will be permitted on S.W. Water Street during this period.

Once all participants have entered the trail, the section of S.W. Water Street from Main Street to Liberty Street will reopen, and on-street parking will be available again. Afterward, S.W. Water Street will remain closed from Liberty Street to Harrison Street until 10:30 a.m. Additionally, Liberty and Harrison Streets will be closed at their intersections with S.W. Water Street.

For those traveling through S.W. Water Street, S.W. Washington Street is recommended as a detour route.
