Beginning on June 4 at 7 am, the closure of W Moss Avenue will be extended to N MacArthur Highway. This measure is part of the ongoing Moss Avenue Reconstruction Project. The section from N Western Avenue to N MacArthur Highway will remain closed through the fall.
Access during this period will be limited to residential traffic and emergency vehicles only. On-street parking along this segment of Moss Avenue will not be permitted.
Motorists are advised to use marked detour routes and exercise caution in the vicinity of the closure. Alternative routes are recommended for drivers navigating the area.
The designated detour route includes:
- Eastbound and westbound traffic on W Moss Avenue should take W Martin Luther King Jr. Drive or W Bradley Avenue from N Western Avenue or N University Street.
- Northbound traffic on N MacArthur Highway should use N Richard Allen Drive to W Romeo B Garrett Avenue for access to westbound W Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
