Today, Quandarius Jones, 23, admitted guilt to racketeering charges linked to his role in the street gang known as the "Snakes." This development marks him as the first defendant to enter a guilty plea in the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) case initiated by the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office last October. The case involves four adults and six juveniles.

Jones' sentencing will occur after the resolution of his co-defendants' cases.
