City of Eureka City Council met Aug. 4.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Roll Call.

3. Approval of Minutes from July 21, 2025 Council Meeting.

4. Approval of minutes of the Committee Meetings held within the prior 30 days. (1st monthly meeting)

5. Treasurer’s Report (2nd monthly meeting).

6. Public Comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items.

7. Approval of semi-monthly.

8. Recommendation from Eureka Planning Commission to approve Ordinance 25-07, an ordinance amending Eureka Municipal Code regarding lot size for multi-family buildings.

9. Consideration of approving Ordinance 25-08, an ordinance implementing a municipal grocery tax.

10. Consideration of a recommendation from Eureka Enterprise Committee to approve GA Rich to replace a water service line on Creamery.

11. Consideration of Resolution 25-10, a resolution for disposal of City Property, 2009 Ford F-350 for Maintenance and a 2015 Ford Explorer for Police.

12. Consideration of truck purchase to replace 2009 F-350 at Maintenance.

13. Recommendation from Economic Development to approve support of Eureka Voice newspaper.

14. Recommendation from Eureka Enterprise Committee to approve a succession plan for Water and Sewer Departments – naming Jason Royer as the Superintendent of Eureka Water Treatment Plant and Brad Marshall as a superintendent-in-training for Eureka Wastewater Plant.

15. Consideration of bids for water main replacements for Walnut/Center and Highview/Brookline.

16. Consideration of approving the City of Eureka Request for Qualifications for Downtown Improvements

17. Consideration of approving agreements for fiber placement from Avangrid/Osagrove LLC/ComEd.

18. Committee Reports:
