City of Eureka City Council met July 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The Eureka City Council convened in regular session on July 21 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Eric Lind called the meeting to order and after a moment of silence led The Pledge of Allegiance and then directed the City Services Coordinator to call the roll. Present were Aldermen Chambliss, Logan, Teegarden, Wilson, Hasty, Klaus, and Williams. Also in attendance were Lynn Hinnen, Treasurer; and Erik Hasselbacher, Director of Public Works, and Police Officer, Andrew Noyes.

Moved by Wilson, second by Hasty to approve the minutes of the July 7, 2025, regular meeting of the City Council. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Wilson, Hasty, Chambliss, Logan, Klaus, Williams and Teegarden all voting Aye.

Moved by Teegarden, second by Klaus to approve the monthly Treasurer's Report from June 2025. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Wilson, Hasty, Chambliss, Logan, Klaus, Williams and Teegarden all voting Aye.

The Mayor asked for public comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items. There were none.

Moved by Chambliss, second by Wilson to approve and pay city obligations totaling $53,060.28, Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Wilson, Hasty, Chambliss, Logan, Klaus, Williams and Teegarden all voting Aye.

Committee Reports:

Chairman Chambliss of the Budget Committee: No Report

Chairman Chambliss of the Administration and Personnel Committee: No Report

Chairman Teegarden of the Enterprise Committee: Erik Hasselbacher said bids for water line extensions are out- bids should be on 1st August meeting.

Chairman Williams of the Maintenance Committee: Junk drop off went well. Drop off went well until it was shut down due to weather on Saturday at 9am, no complaints were received. About 14 dumpsters were filled. New Mack truck was delivered.

Chairman Klaus of the Public Safety Committee: Officer Noyes wanted to remind everyone that the Rescue Task Force training will take place on August 5th and they are in need of volunteers for scenarios. Chairman Wilson of the Park and Recreation Committee: Bandstand extension was delivered. In-Line Construction should start construction last week of August per Hasselbacher. Mayor added he sees people using the new docks.

Chairman Teegarden of the Economic Development Committee: No Report

Chairman Mayor Lind of the Liquor Committee: No report

New Business: None.

Public Comments: None

There being no further business to come before the Council the meeting adjourned at 7:37p.m.
