GFL Environmental will not provide recycling, yard waste, or trash collection services on Monday, September 1, in observance of Labor Day. This change affects all regular pick-up routes for the week.

According to the City of Peoria's announcement, all collections will be delayed by one day throughout the week following the holiday. Residents with Monday pick-up will have their materials collected on Tuesday. Those scheduled for Tuesday collection will have service on Wednesday, and so forth. Friday routes will be serviced on Saturday.

Normal schedules for recycling, yard waste, and trash pick-up are expected to resume the following week.

The city advises residents to set out their containers by 6 a.m. on their designated collection day to ensure service is not missed. After pick-up, containers should be removed from the curb or alley within 24 hours and stored either in a garage or alongside a house or garage. The city requests that containers not be left on streets or sidewalks.
