A lane closure on S.W. Adams Street will begin Thursday, Aug. 28, affecting the stretch from Liberty Street through the intersection of Fulton Street. The far-right lane will be closed to allow for sidewalk repairs at the southwest corner of Fulton Street and S.W. Adams Street.

Sidewalk construction is ongoing at several intersections in the area. Work continues at the southeast corner of S.W. Jefferson Avenue and Liberty Street near 244 S.W. Jefferson Avenue, as well as at the northwest corner of Fayette Street and N.E. Jefferson Avenue near 227 N.E. Jefferson Avenue.

Plans are also in place to start sidewalk removal soon at the northwest corner of Hamilton Boulevard and N.E. Jefferson Avenue, close to 125 N.E. Jefferson Avenue.

Pedestrians are reminded to use caution around closed sidewalks and cross streets only at available intersections.

Parking restrictions are marked throughout the affected areas. Drivers are advised to look for unbagged meters for legal parking options and avoid spaces where meters display “No Parking” signs.

Additional changes to parking, lanes, and sidewalks are expected as work continues on the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way (OWTW) Conversion Project.

Drivers should remain alert for workers in these areas and observe all posted no-parking zones.
