City of Marquette Heights City Council met Aug. 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER

The City Council meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M by Mayor Little.

ROLL CALL

Aldermen present for Roll Call: Alderman Neuhaus, Sipes, Crum, Neumann, Babb and Joos.

Also present were Clerk Steele, Attorney Hermann, Treasurer, Police Chief Merritt, Street Superintendent Helms, Water Superintendent Smith, Asst. Fire Chief Bartlett and Building Inspector Dearborn.

Discussion regarding the intergovernmental agreement between Marquette Heights and North Pekin.

Discussion regarding the ADA grant thru Tazewell County

Quarterly budget review at next committee meeting

Discussion about streaming ordinance and amusement tax

Fire Chief Hermacinski taking a 30 day leave of absence.

Planning – Alderman Crum

Working on MHMC lease revision.

Discussion regarding TIFF districts

NEW BUSINESS

a. Alderman Neumann made a motion, seconded by Babb to approve waiving the fee of the Business Use permit for “LOOKS GOOD!” Barbershop, located at 148 Joliet Rd., Unit #2 Roll Call Vote: All Ayes. Motion passed.

b. Alderman Crum made a motion, seconded by Sipes to approve Mauer Stutz invoice in the amount of $1,320.00 for professional services. Roll Call Vote: All Ayes. Motion passed.
