S.W. Water Street will be closed between Harrison Street and Liberty Street on Thursday, September 11, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The closure is scheduled for Simantel’s Smoke on the Water employee appreciation event, which is sponsored by Simantel and Envision Events. According to the announcement, "The event is private and not open to the public."
Drivers are advised to use S.W. Washington Street as an alternate route during the closure period. Additional caution is recommended near the 300 block of S.W. Water Street.
Parking restrictions will also be in place on the 300 block of S.W. Water Street from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
