Princeville High School is participating in the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights contest, which aims to spotlight high school football programs nationwide. The competition offers a top prize of advanced lighting and technology upgrades for athletic facilities.

The school has already moved past the initial phase, securing $5,000. Princeville now seeks additional support to progress further, with hopes of winning $25,000 and ultimately the grand prize.

Located in central Illinois, Princeville High School serves a small rural community. Limited resources compared to larger districts make this contest an important opportunity for its student athletes and residents. Organizers say that recognition or victory could have a lasting effect on students, families, and the broader community.

According to contest rules, schools gather votes through social media engagement. Supporters are encouraged to interact with posts on Instagram by reposting, sharing, and using specific hashtags that feature the school and mascot. Princeville’s campaign uses #FN5GL #Sweepstakes while tagging @TMobile and @PrincevilleCUSD.

Organizers emphasize that each like, share, or post is significant for smaller towns like Princeville. They call on community members, alumni, friends, and local leaders to help spread awareness online. Every interaction increases their chances of upgrading athletic facilities in recognition of student athletes’ commitment.

Supporters can participate by visiting Princeville’s Instagram page and engaging with posts using the designated hashtags and tags.
