Sidewalk construction is underway at several intersections along Jefferson Avenue as part of the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way Conversion Project. Current work is focused on the southeast corner of S.W. Jefferson Avenue and Liberty Street near 244 S.W. Jefferson Avenue, the northwest corner of Fayette Street and N.E. Jefferson Avenue near 227 N.E. Jefferson Avenue, and the northwest corner of Hamilton Boulevard and N.E. Jefferson Avenue near 125 N.E. Jefferson Avenue.

The City advises pedestrians to use caution when sidewalks are closed and to cross at the next available intersection. On-street parking restrictions are in effect, with signage indicating where parking is not allowed. Drivers are instructed to look for unbagged meters for available parking and avoid spaces marked with “No Parking” signs.

Additional restrictions on parking, lanes, and sidewalks will be announced as the project continues. The City reminds drivers to remain alert for workers in the area and observe all posted no-parking zones.
