Sidewalk construction is ongoing at several intersections along Jefferson Avenue as part of the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way Conversion Project.
Current work is focused on the northwest corner of Main Street and S.E. Jefferson Avenue, near 101 S.E. Jefferson Avenue, as well as the northwest corner of Hamilton Boulevard and N.E. Jefferson Avenue, near 125 N.E. Jefferson Avenue.
Pedestrians are advised to use caution when sidewalks are closed and cross at the next available intersection. Drivers should observe posted parking restrictions; only park at meters that are not bagged or marked with “No Parking” signs.
Further parking, lane, and sidewalk restrictions will be announced as the project moves forward. Motorists are reminded to watch for workers in the area and avoid restricted parking spaces.
Extra caution is recommended for both drivers and pedestrians in affected areas.
