S.W. Monroe Street in Peoria will be closed from Fulton Street to N. William Kumpf Boulevard on Wednesday, October 1, and Thursday, October 2, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The closure is scheduled to accommodate Career Spark, an event sponsored by the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council and Junior Achievement of Central Illinois.
According to city officials, "Drivers should follow all posted detour routes and use caution in the area."
For drivers affected by the closure, northbound traffic on N. William Kumpf Boulevard should use N.E. Perry Avenue as a detour route, while southbound traffic should take S.W. Adams Street.
