There were 8,247 Black students enrolled in Peoria County school districts in the 2023-24 school year, 0.7% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Black students made up 30.5% of the 27,079 students in the county. They were the second most represented ethnicity.

Among the 18 districts in Peoria County, Peoria School District 150 recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 7,171 students.
