Princeville High School has been selected as one of the Top 25 finalists in the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights Prize competition. The contest, which highlights high school football programs across the United States, offers one school the opportunity to receive major upgrades for its athletic facilities.
As a finalist, Princeville High School is eligible for a grand prize that includes $1 million toward a football field upgrade, a consultation with a stadium experience expert, and a weight room upgrade by Gronk Fitness. Additional enhancements are also part of the prize package.

Spain, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2017 to represent the state's 73rd House District, replacing previous state representative David R. Leitch.
