Each October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed to highlight the impact of breast cancer on individuals and families nationwide. The month serves as an opportunity to increase awareness, support early detection efforts, and promote hope for a future with fewer cases.
"Together, we can raise awareness, encourage early detection, and provide hope for a future where fewer lives are impacted by this disease," the statement reads.
Travis Weaver, a Republican elected in 2023 to represent Illinois' 93rd House District, currently holds the seat previously occupied by Norine Hammond.
