Katie Champion Williams has been appointed as the new director of the Taylorville Memorial Foundation, with her tenure beginning on October 13. Williams previously held the position of director of development at the University of Illinois Springfield for seven years, where she worked on building relationships with donors and supporting student initiatives.

Kim Bourne, president and CEO of Taylorville Memorial Hospital, commented on Williams’ appointment: “Katie is a seasoned fund development professional with a strong foundation in mission-driven fundraising. She began her career with the American Cancer Society, where she cultivated community partnerships throughout Illinois. This early experience in healthcare philanthropy will be invaluable. We look forward to working with her and continuing to strengthen our ties to this community.”

Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Indiana State University and is expected to complete her master’s degree in communication at the University of Illinois Springfield later this year.

In response to her new role, Williams stated: “I’m excited to get started. I look forward to building strong relationships within the Taylorville community, championing philanthropic initiatives that improve lives and patient experiences and supporting efforts that strengthen the Taylorville community.”
