Residents of Illinois’ 73rd District will have an opportunity to securely dispose of personal documents at a free shredding event hosted by State Representative Ryan Spain. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Zearing Park, located at 1 Zearing Park Dr., Princeton, IL.

The event is open to the public and aims to help residents safely discard documents containing sensitive personal information. Attendees are instructed to enter through the main entrance on Euclid Avenue and remain in their vehicles while staff unload documents for shredding. There is a limit of three boxes per resident, and only residential shredding will be accepted. Electronics will not be collected, and the event will end at 11 a.m. or once the shred truck reaches capacity.

The 73rd House District includes all or parts of Bureau, Henry, Lee, Marshall, Peoria, Rock Island, Stark, Whiteside, and Woodford counties.

State Representative Ryan Spain said the event is an opportunity for residents to protect their privacy and contribute to environmental efforts.
