On Veterans Day, recognition is given to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Expressions of gratitude are extended to veterans for their service and sacrifices made in defense of national freedoms.

Travis Weaver, a Republican, was elected in 2023 as the representative for Illinois' 93rd House District, succeeding Norine Hammond.
