Decatur Memorial Hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for providing high-quality care, according to the publication's annual hospital rankings released this year.
The hospital received particular acknowledgment for its cancer treatment services, including care for leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma patients, as well as for its knee replacement procedures.
“We’re very proud of the care we offer our community,” said Tanya Andricks, DMH president and CEO. “This recognition by U.S. News & World Report reinforces the work we do and highlights how our efforts to provide the safest, highest-quality care are paying off with improved outcomes for patients and their families.”
Springfield Memorial Hospital, another facility within Springfield-based Memorial Health, was also recognized in the same report. The publication ranked Springfield Memorial Hospital 21st out of 213 hospitals in Illinois and highlighted it for excellence in nine types of care.
“This recognition is the result of hard work by teams across our organization to improve patient outcomes and ensure positive experiences for the people we serve,” said Drew Early, Memorial Health senior vice president and chief operating officer. “Our talented, caring colleagues are truly making a difference in our patients’ lives and the well-being of our communities.”
