Dunlap School District 323 Committee of the Whole discusses growth projections

The board of Dunlap Community Unit School District 323 met as a committee of the whole on Sept. 14.

Here are the meeting minutes as provided by District 323:

Board President Dawn Bozeman brought the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and asked that the roll be called.

Those present for the Board of Education were C. Bluth, D. Bozeman, K. Disharoon, T. Holshouser and B. Zowin. Absent were B. Rhee and P. Park. Present for the administration were Dr. Parker, Mrs. Beverlin, Mrs. Bowman, Mrs. Bond and Mr. Grimm.

Following roll call, Mrs. Bozeman asked that those present stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mrs. Bozeman stated that the Board would open the floor to public participation and asked if anyone would like to address the Board. No one addressed the Board.

P. Park joined the meeting at 5:35 p.m.

B. Rhee joined the meeting at 5:49 p.m.

Dr. Parker presented information on enrollment and subdivision growth projections, as well as maintenance projects. Board asked questions. Dr. Parker, Mrs. Beverlin and Mr. Grimm answered the questions.

Dr. Parker and Mrs. Beverlin presented information and answered questions regarding the use of sales tax money for facility usage in the future.

Mrs. Bozeman asked for a motion to adjourn.

K. Disharoon moved to adjourn. Second by C. Bluth. Voice Vote. Aye: 7. Nay: 0. Motion carried. Time: 6:50 p.m.
