The Chillicothe Public Library District Board Special Board met Oct. 30 to hire a library director.

1. Call to order at 5:11pm present: Sue Mowbray, Jane Harrison, Jay Rudd, Patty Pierson,Judy Thornton, Ben Krokum, andPatty Audo.
2. New Business
a. Tax Levy: Motion to negate motion from 9 26 16 meeting and approve corrected levy document made by Jane Harrison with Jay Rudd seconding. All voted to approve.
3. Library Director Interviews (discussion during this portion of the meeting may be held in closed session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1)): Patty Pierson made motion to enter closed session for the first interview at 5:20pm and seconded by Jane Harrison. Jay Rudd made motion to exit closed session at 6:25pm and seconded by Jane Harrison. At 647pm Judy Thornton made motion to enter closes session for the second interview with Patty Pierson seconding. Jay Rudd made motion to exit closed session with Patty Pierson seconding.
a. Patty Audo made a motion to allow the library president to make an offer to the leading candidate for the position of Library Director with Jane Harrison seconding. All voted in favor.
4. Adjournment: 7:42pm motion made to adjourn by Jay Rudd and seconded by Patty Pierson. All voted in favor.
