City of Chillicothe Economic Development Committee met July 12.

The Economic Development Committee met on July 12, at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
Present: Aldermen Colwell, Connor, Mayor White, Economic Development Director Parker
Absent: Alderman Jenkins
Chairman Colwell called the meeting to order at 4:34 p.m. First agenda item was City Owned Properties. The Mayor suggested that we craft an RFP to go out on all City owned properties to try to get a developer interested and get the properties back on the tax role. We currently have the property behind city hall and the lot on Ash Street. The Elm Street Property is currently under negotiations. Director Parker will work toward getting that draft to council for review.
The HELP Loan will be getting updated changing some of the requirements to mirror the TIF loan so that more people will start to use the HELP loan which will be called Small Business Assistance Loan.
The meeting adjourned at 4:42 pm to move into closed session under Section 2 (c)(6) Sale of Real Estate.
