Peoria Standard

West Peoria Fire Protection District responded to 36 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the Peoria Standard.

The calls in West Peoria included 21 fires - 14 structure fires, one vehicle fire and six other fires.

In all, the department saw $141,200 in fire loss - or about $6,724 per fire.

The department also received 15 false calls, including three malicious calls and 12 other false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.
