President Gorman called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm

D. Approval of Minutes
Motion made by Casey, seconded by Kelton to approve the minutes from Regular Meeting on September 13, 2017 as presented. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Casey, Hulse, Mathisen, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: None. Motion carried.
E. Payment of Bills
Motion made by Hulse, seconded by Casey to pay the bills as presented. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Casey, Hulse, Mathisen, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: None. Motion carried.

I. Teachers Contract
Motion made by Casey, seconded by Kelton that the Board of Education offer a contract to Larissa Baize to teach Science at the Peoria Heights High School for the 2018-2019 school year. The approval of this contract is pending on the candidate’s graduation and receipt of teaching licensure prior to employment. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Casey, Hulse, Mathisen, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: None. Motion carried.
J. Paraprofessional Contract
Motion made by Hulse, seconded by Mathisen that the Board of Education offer a contract to Holly Vick to serve as a paraprofessional at Peoria Heights Grade School for the 2017-2018 school year. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Casey, Hulse, Mathisen, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: None. Motion carried.
K. Coaching Contract
Motion made by Casey, seconded by Kelton that the Board of Education offer a contract to Sarah Pacheco to serve as coach for the 3-5 Grade Girls Basketball for the 2017-2018 school year. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Casey, Hulse, Mathisen, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: none Motion carried.
L. Bright Futures Contract
Motion made by Casey, seconded by Hulse that the Board of Education adjust the contracts of Linda Meyer and Jill Kouri-Young who serve as parent educators in the Bright Future’s Program at the Peoria Heights Grade School. This adjustment reflects the employees moving from 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Casey, Hulse, Mathisen, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: None. Motion carried.
M. 2018 School Year Concussion Protocol
Motion made by Hulse, seconded by Casey that the Board of Education approves the Concussion Policy and Protocol required by sec 5/22-80 of the Illinois School Code. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Casey, Hulse, Mathisen, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: None. Motion carried.
