Thomas Schlink has been tabbed as new Peoria market president for F&M Bank.
Schlink will be in charge of all banking activities for the area, including supervision of lenders, guiding all new commercial business development efforts and interacting with current and prospective clients, a Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce release said.
Schlink, who will report to F&M Bank President and CEO Doug Sanders, brings nearly three decades of banking experience to F&M, including at least 20 years in the area of commercial lending. He previously held managerial or analyst positions at JPMorgan Chase (formerly Bank One) in Peoria, PNC Bank and Hickory Point Bank & Trust.
“Tom brings strong commercial lending experience as well as managerial experience to F&M Bank and we are very fortunate to have someone of his caliber join the F&M team,” Sanders said in the release. “Tom’s extensive background will complement our solid lending team to continue to provide high quality, integrated financial services and products to the communities we serve.”
Schlink resides in Peoria with his wife, Deirdre; 2-year-old daughter, Roisin (Rosie); and three dogs. His community involvement includes board memberships with the Heart of Illinois Harvest and Heart of Illinois United Way. He is also a member of the Rotary Club and has served as a member of the Knights of Columbus Spalding Council as grand knight and is an Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America, the release said.
