City of Peoria issued the following announcement on May 8.
A public kickoff meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 15th at the Gateway Building, 200 NE Water Street, to announce the next phase of the planning study for the downtown riverfront area. City staff and partners will take public comments and suggestions, and also ask for involvement with the study’s Community Advisory Group. The meeting, held in open house format, will allow for informal comments, questions, and discussion from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. It will also include a formal presentation about the study beginning at 5:30 P.M.
