Report: Metamora spent $7,171 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Metamora Community Consolidated School District 1 is down 6 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Woodford County school district spent $7,601 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $7,171 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 863 to 891.

Metamora's spending in 2016-17 was 45 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
