Armington Central Fire Protection District responded to 11 calls in 2017 - 83.3 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Armington included 10 fires - six structure fires and four other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $655,000 in fire loss - or about $65,500 per fire.

One fire service member was injured in non fire-related incidents.
