Delavan Fire Department responded to 27 calls in 2017 - 50 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Delavan included 24 fires - 10 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 12 other fires.

In all, the department saw $490,250 in fire loss - or about $20,427 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The Delavan Fire Department had an annual budget of $236,175 in 2017.
