Brimfield Public Library District Board met May 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call to Order – Jon Davis called the regular meeting of the Brimfield Public Library Board of Trustees to order.

Roll Call – Jon Davis took Roll Call with the following members present: Holly more, Trip Barton, Angie Sneeringer, Shirley Sollenberger, and Director Patti Smith.

Tara Blundy joined the meeting as a guest.

Public Comment – None

Special Business – Trip Barton made a motion to approve the Routine Banking

Procedures/Internal Control Policy. Holly More seconded; motion carried.

Holly More made a motion to approve the Retirement Policy. Shirley Sollenberger seconded; motion carried.

Secretary’s Report – Trip Barton made a motion to approve minutes from the April meeting. Shirley Sollenberger seconded; motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report – Holly More made a motion to approve the April Financial Report.

Angie Sneeringer seconded; motion carried.

Shirley Sollenberger made a motion to approve the May bills. Trip Barton seconded; motion carried.

Director’s Report – Patti Smith presented the director’s report.

Holly More made a motion to approve our participation in the Illinois non-resident

library card program for the price of $316.00 per year. Shirley Sollenberger seconded; motion carried.

The Board agreed to begin meeting on the third Monday of the month beginning with the July meeting.

Trip Barton made a motion to replace the complete HVAC system with Standard Heating and Cooling. The air conditioning is broken, and the furnace is 13 years old. Shirley Sollenberger seconded; motion carried.

Adjournment – Trip Barton made a motion to adjourn. Holly More seconded; motion carried.

Next Meeting – June 4, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.
