City of Chillicothe Plan Commission met August 7.
Here is the agenda as provided by the commission:
1. Call to order by Chairman Parkins at 7:00 p.m.

3. Approval of July 3, 2018 Minutes: Motion to Approve: Roger John

4. Purpose of Hearing: To consider a change of zoning for the 1100 block of Sturgeon Ln. from
R-1 to R-4
5. Swearing in of interested parties:
Mike Abarca- property manager
Carl Patterson- tenant
6. Presentation by Property owner: Mr. Abarca spoke for the property owner who live in Florida. Mr. Abarca stated that the owner would like to update current mobile home units with new models, but can not with the current zoning. Rezoning to R-4 would allow these updates.
7. Public input: Mr. Patterson expressed his desire to rezone so that he could replace his current mobile home with a new modular unit.
8. Discussion: Members of Plan Commission asked if there would be an increase in the number of mobile homes if the rezoning went thru. Mr. Abarca stated that there would be no increase. Jeff Anderson felt that the area in question is not large enough to accommodate the lot requirements in R-4. The Plan Commission advised that the property owner would probably have to ask for a variance.
