City of Chillicothe Zoning Board of Appeals met Sept. 19.

VARIANCE REQUEST NUMBER:
REASON FOR VARIANCE APPEAL: Requesting a variance for the front and rear setback.
Denise gave an overview of what was being requested. The setback variance is needed so that the city can rezone the property from R-1 to R-4. Denise indicated that any new units would have to be within the property lines and not in the right-of-way. Owner would like to improve the property but can not unless the property is zoned R-4. Alderman Sharp represents Ward 4 where the four trailer parks are located. Of the four, three are zoned R-4. Alderman Sharp has spoke with the owner and believes there is the commitment to improve the property. Mr. Patterson expressed support and Mr. Abarca gave a short overview on what will be done. A motion to approve was made by Bob and seconded by Mike. Vote was 6-0 for approval of the request.
