Tazewell County voted down all three referendums on the Nov. 6 ballot.
The Tazewell County Auditor Proposition did not pass. The question on the ballot was, "Shall Tazewell County eliminate the office of the elected County Auditor?"
With 100 percent of the votes counted, 20,916 were in favor and 26,022 were opposed.
Tazewell County also voted against a Facility Sales Tax Proposition: "Shall a retailers' occupation tax and a service occupation tax (commonly referred to as a "sales tax") be imposed in The County of Tazewell, Illinois, at a rate of 1% to be usedexclusively for school facility purposes?"
With 100 percent of the votes counted, 24,514 were in favor and 26,022 were opposed.
The last proposition voted against was for the Village of Goodfield: "Shall the prohibition of the sale at retail alcohol liquor be continued in the Village of Goodfield, Illinois?"
With 100 percent of the votes counted, 27 were in favor and 86 opposed.
